Winter has finally settled in Lake County. How are you planning to stay warm this year? Did you buy your kids a new coat for school? Many families we serve do not have that same ability to fulfill this need for their own children. Enter our loving churches!
For the fourth year, First Presbyterian Church in Waukegan opened their doors to Love INC families and set up a coat closet. Servants from five partner churches shared over 125 hours during the week to set up shop, act as personal shoppers, and love on our families. In all, 175 warm coats (and countless prayers) were shared with our families. Many were even cut-off-the-tag-brand-new through our partnership with Operation Warm!
In Our Servants’ Words
- “This was a great experience. The families that came through were very close to each other. They were very appreciative.”
- “It was fun and we met a lot of nice people.”
- “[Our small group is] studying the book of James & we are helping those in need.”
Your prayers, your financial partnership, and your time — all work together to show Christ’s love to those in need in Lake County. Thanks be to God for what He has done!
