How can YOU join us in the Many Hands Project?
First and foremost, pray for our students, leaders, and those we are serving in July.
We also need goods! We anticipate serving over 45 families, including over 120 individuals. Specifically, we are looking for the following:
- sheets & blankets for beds- twin, full, queen
- pots & pans- 2 or 3 quart saucepan, 10″ or 12″ skillet
- towels- bath, hand, kitchen, and washcloths
- kitchen utensils- wooden spoons, pancake turners, measuring cups & spoons, etc.
Items must be in new or like new condition – would you give this gift to Jesus? Contact the office to arrange to drop off your donations!
What is the Many Hands Project?
The Many Hands Project ministers to people by meeting the needs of homeowners in local communities. Team members work on projects that serve seniors, single moms, people with disabilities, and others in need…all within the setting of a local, short-term missions trip. As we do these projects, we build relationships with these people – asking that God will use us to make the love and truth of Jesus Christ known to everyone we meet!
Who serves with the Many Hands Project?
Teams of students and leaders from four Love INC partner churches are coming together for one week in July as one Church to serve in Christ’s name. These teams are connected with homeowners in their communities through Love INC of Lake County. Love INC networks with agencies and ministries in the area to verify that needs are authentic, and to make sure that the right type of help is given to people. In all of this, we look to God to give us the strength and compassion we need to serve in the best ways possible!
How do we serve?
Work crews serve on indoor projects (such as painting and deep cleaning) and outdoor projects (such as yard care and basic handyman repairs). Some teams have even constructed wheelchair ramps and re-roofed homes! We also work with Love INC’s “Gap Ministries” to provide people with things like furniture, beds, and household items. As we meet homeowners, we look for ways to talk with them, pray for them, and share God’s love.
Take a look at pictures and stories from the Many Hands Project – note all the smiling faces on both the hard-working students & on the grateful homeowners’ faces! https://www.facebook.com/mhpzion
